Don't let fear stand in the way of your greatness. We've all been there, feeling held back by the fear of failure, success, or even fear itself. But guess what? Fear doesn't have to control you forever. There are practical ways to overcome it, and I've got nine killer steps to get you started:



Step 1: Get Real with Yourself


Separate fact from fiction and stop letting your feelings dictate your actions. I'll let you in on a secret: I had a tough time leaving one network marketing company and joining another. After seven years, the fear of starting from scratch, losing my organization, relationships, and being labeled disloyal held me back.


But here's the reality: friendships won't pay the bills and I owed it to myself to follow my passion. And let me tell you, it was the best decision I could have made. Once I took that leap of faith, my enthusiasm soared, creativity flowed effortlessly again, and those lingering doubts vanished. The narrow view I had of my future transformed into a vibrant landscape of possibilities and growth. Trust me, taking that risk was absolutely worth it.


Step 2. Find Your Triggers


Identify what sets off your fear alarm -- really dig into that. It could be change, the fear of losing something, financial pressures, and more. Pinpointing the trigger gives you the power to face it head-on.

Step 3. Master Your Inner Game


Fear messes with our minds and emotions, making clear thinking a distant memory. We tense up, lose focus, and make poor choices. But fear can also trick us into staying complacent, avoiding challenges. Understand how fear affects you and take active steps to nurture your mental and physical well-being.


Step 4. Embrace Gratitude


Every day, jot down a few things you're grateful for. Big or small, it doesn't matter. Gratitude shifts your mindset towards positivity, eroding fear over time.


Step 5. Pep Talk Yourself


Pay attention to your inner voice. If you wouldn't say those harsh words to a friend, don't say them to yourself. Talk yourself up, highlight your strengths, and silence the negative chatter.

Step 6. Reframe Fear


When fear creeps in, remind yourself that it's temporary. Focus on the positive outcome waiting on the other side, rather than dwelling in the scary middle.


Step 7. See the Bright Side


Perception is everything. Your attitude toward a situation shapes your response. Find the silver lining, rewrite your internal story, and watch your chances of success skyrocket. Start small with just one fear-inducing thought and practice flipping it. Soon enough, it'll become second nature.


Step 8. Prioritize Your Mind

And suddenly you know! It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings. Because ... you matter. And you're tired of feeling run down, moody, scattered, unmotivated, or bored out of your mind. That's the START of what I was experiencing.


The worst for me was that I was slowly disconnecting from people! I became happier to be at home in leggings and a pony tail throughout the pandemic. My dog had died, we sold our home that I loved, I left a business that brought the loss of friendships, and my husband decided to permantently work from home (no matter how much you love someone, 24 hours a day together requires an adjustment). None of these were things I anticipated and it was wrapped up in silence. I didn't even realize how isolated I had let myself become.
